After a long trip to Los Angeles and checking into our hotel, we wanted to do an easy dinner; something not expensive but knowing we can get in; what better place than a mall! We made our way to the Topanga Westfield mall near our hotel.
After walking around and deciding against things like Subway, Panda Express and Massis Kabob (we did last year); we stumbled across Sarku Japan (https://www.sarkujapan.com), Japanese cuisine on a budget.
I had the Chicken & Shrimp Combo with the Chicken Teriyaki (Sushi) Rolls. These both were made fresh; and everything tasted great. No crunchy rice (as reported earlier in a Yelp review), great portions for what you paid for.
This is a new location in the mall (they are a franchise service I believe) and I think they deserve a chance, many of the yelp reviews were pretty strong for a new restaurant that just opened, but to each their own. I certainly had no issues with the food.
And one other great thing, they have a card reward program, eat 5 meals there, the 6th is on them! Not a bad deal!
